After volunteering together on Saturday, AFU is coming back on Sunday, September 27 for race day at the Life Time Chicago Half Marathon & 5K! 🎽🏅

This is one of Chicago’s signature running events, with runners taking over portions of Lake Shore Drive and passing through historic South Side neighborhoods with skyline and lakefront views. The 2026 edition is the event’s 29th annual running. (Chicago Half Marathon and 5K)

You don’t have to be a fast runner—or even a runner at all—to join us. This is about showing up, encouraging one another, meeting new people, and sharing a classic Chicago race-day experience together.

If you’re new to AFU — Asians & Friends Untucked, this is another easy way to meet the community in person. Friends, partners, family, allies, runners, walkers, and supporters are welcome. 💙
